Duro-Last PVC Roofing Single Ply Commercial

Duro-Last®: a Roof You Can Depend On

Although there are many great options when it comes to single-ply roofing, Duro-Last® PVC roofing membranes shine like a bright star. Combining style with strength and unrivaled durability, our St. Louis constructors can confidently say they finally have a roofing material they can trust.

Single-ply roofs are a class of commercial roofing membranes constructed from strong but highly flexible synthetic materials. The consistency in quality and versatility in attachment methods makes these roofs applicable in a wide range of constructions.

Advantages of Duro-Last® PVC

Duro-Last® roofing membranes are a propriety thermoplastic.  They are comprised of PVC resins, plasticizers, flame retardants, biocides, U.V. absorbents, and stabilizers. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) has since time immemorial been used to make flexible plastic sheets that can be welded together to create very strong roofs.

Duro-Last® is only slightly more expensive than foam but is easier to install and lasts much longer. This sheer strength can in part be attributed to a weft-insertion knitted scrim that is laminated between two PVC layers.  Duro-Last® roofing membranes come in light colors including tan, white, gray, dark gray, and terra cotta.

The roofing sheets have met or exceeded all major wind and fire code requirements. They have also been approved as necessary across the country. For instance, Duro-Last® has been approved by Factory Mutual for a wide range of applications and is listed by Underwriters Laboratories as a Class A, B, and C approved roofing material. ICC-ES (the evaluation company formed by ICBO and NES) has also evaluated the roofing material for International Building Code (IBC). All these certifications show that Duro-Last® PVC membrane are reliable across the board.

Energy Efficiency

Duro-Last® is a charter partner of ENERGY STAR, due to the materials reflective qualities – the white membrane reflects approximately 88% of the suns energy. Duro-Last® is also a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and a charter member of the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC). It participates in all major American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) technical committees.

At Jewett Roofing, we love using Duro Last® PVC as one of the main products for our flat roofing projects.
