In early spring of 2009, Jewett Roofing Company contracted with Chris Graue, of Graue Chevrolet, to completely tear off his existing roof and underlayment and replace it with a new roof. The job presented a few minor challenges, but in the end proved to be another outstanding project for Jewett Roofing.

The project size was just under 25,000 square feet. The existing roof had been damaged by a late December storm, which caused minor damage to the southeast corner of the roof. This damage accelerated the time frame in which Mr. Graue was going to address the roof problems that he knew had already existed before the storm damage occurred.

Immediately upon contacting Jewett Roofing we were on site and collecting all the necessary data. Through careful analysis and close consultation we were able to provide Mr. Graue with the information he needed to make an educated and well thought-out decision regarding who was going to do the work and what product would ultimately be installed. He had many different products and contractors to choose from, but in the end he chose Jewett Roofing and the white 50 mil Duro-Last single-ply membrane system. He also decided to replace all the guttering and downspouts with new 24-gauge Kynar metal gutters which are made by Duro-Last’s sister company, Exceptional Metals. This combination will provide a long-term solution to his facility’s roofing and waterproofing needs.
