Retrofits are easily accomplished. We start by installing flute filler that will fill in the flutes to the level of the metal ribs. We follow with a second layer of insulation over the ribs and flute filler. This creates a level surface for the new roofing system to be installed over. The entire roofing system can weigh less than 1⁄2 pound per square foot, which is light enough for a metal building structure.
